
The Dammusi
The Dammusi are built in lavic stone.
They have dome shaped roofs.The thickness of the walls insulates the rooms,
keeping them cool from the outside heat in the summer and warm in the winter.
The Dammuso, usually has a room with an alcove for sleeping in. Outside will
be found an oven for barbecuing, usually there will be around garden with a
stone wall in the shape of a temple, too protect the citrus trees.
